The difference between TPR and TPE
TPR is a kind of elastomer which is basically made of SBS, while TPE is a kind of elastomer which is basically made of SEBS, so the elasticity of TPR is better than that of TPE. but TPR is not so good as TPE in terms of weathering resistance, oil resistance and age resistance. From our manufacturer's point of view, there are no distinctive differences between TPR and TPE in terms of products' application, generally TPR's hardness value is denoted by A, while the specific wear resistance of TPE is denoted by C,it is softer, and has some slip-resistance, the proportion of TPR's rubber constituent is comparatively larger, for the convenience of processing,,white oil and plasticizer may be added into it,but these two components may be precipitated with the climatic change,in order to improve this defect,we CHANGZHOU FENGYUAN PLASTIC RUBBER CO., LTD as a manufacturer usually mix PE or PP plastic particles with TPR directly, please keep a close watch of temperature and screw speed in the production process.
